Use these event ideas to help you thrive with spring jewelry sales:
- Play Up Spring Trends: Jewelers of America members can get a refresher on what’s hot this spring by checking out Helena Krodel’s 2010 Spring/Summer Jewelry Trends Report.
- Hold a “Spring Fever” Event: Showcase spring styles with a party for your best customers. Offer incentives, such as a door prize for showing up early and/or bringing a friend who is not a current customer.
- Extra Tip: In addition to food and drink, partner with other non-competing businesses (like a local make-up artist for spring makeovers).
- Offer “Spring Cleaning”: Attract new and existing customers with a free or reduced jewelry cleaning offer. Include “Custom Consultations” for clients who are interested in taking something from their current jewelry wardrobe and transforming it, through custom design, into a new and exciting piece of jewelry.
- Think Environmentally: Tie-in your spring promotions to Earth Day, which is April 20th. If applicable, play up jewelry lines that feature recycled gold and other Earth-friendly material. Sponsor Earth Day activities (like beach clean-ups, tree-plantings and other community events that promote the environment).
